    Thanks for posting some Beuysiana, I especially like the potrait in the post above this one. As I mentioned at my site I find I Like America… rather impenetrable. Is the cane supposed to evoke a shepherd’s crook? Would that make the coyote a stand in for a wolf? I know that type of “x means y” analysis is usually too simplistic for most conceptual art.

    In terms of pure aesthetics, I do love the contrast between the classical and the modern: the frozen “motion” implied by the folds in the robe vs. the quantum blur of the coyote’s tail.
